Week 5: Demon Hawks, Arsenal, Runners, Risers, United Elite all to host home openers

TAMPA, Florida -- The wait is over in four different Major Arena Soccer League 2 cities this weekend as there are home openers for teams in all three divisions.

The defending champion Iowa Demon Hawks lead the list, coming off a perfect 15-0 season. They host the Minnesota Blizzard Saturday night at Buccaneer Arena in Des Moines. Meanwhile, the New Mexico Runners are back at the Rio Racnho Events Center after opening with two games on the road as they host the OKC Certified Lions on Sunday.

Another Sunday home and season opener will come in Utica for United Elite Krajisnik as they host Spice City, while the Baltimore Arsenal will kick the weekend off on Friday at home against Danbury's SPice City FC.

The games in Baltimore and Utica are Major Arena Soccer League doubleheaders with the Blast at Towson Arena and Utica City FC, respectively, at the Adirondack Bank Center. There is a third MASL/MASL 2 doubleheader as well, this one Saturday at Frontwave Arena in San Diego as the Sockers 2 and Empire Jets will tangle.
