Utica gets leg up on last playoff spot, Chihuahua, Wichita and Iowa already in

TAMPA, Florida -- Round one to Utica's United Elite Krajisnik.

The official affiliate of Utica City FC of the MASL, United Elite took care of business in Danbury this past weekend, dropping Spice City to take control of the race in the East Division, the winner of which will gain the final invitation to the MASL 2 playoffs April 11-12 in Des Moines.

Spice and Utica will meet two more times over the next two weekends -- next Sunday at the Adirondack Bank Center as part of the MASL / MASL 2 doubleheader. Spice must win that one, and another April 6 between the two , back in Danbury, to claim the division title.

Other winners in Week 17: The Iowa Demon Hawks, Empire Jets, San Diego Sockers 2, the Wichita Wings and Chihuahua Savage II.
