wEEKk 8: A Sockers sweep, Wings and Hawks win again, Steaks and Arsenal split

TAMPA, Florida -- The San Diego Sockers finalized a weekend sweep of their local rivals, the Empire Jets, breaking open a close game late for a 9-5 win on Martin Luther King Day to highlight Week Eight action in Major Arena Soccer League 2.

Wichita and Iowa continued their good starts, while the Salisbury Steaks got their first regulation time win in a weekend split with the Baltimore Arsenal. Spice City, who drew over 2,000 fans for their home opener in Danbury, had their second home game postponed because of a severe winter weather event in the northeast.
